About Melody

The person who will actually be with your kids.

Melody's Angels is not an agency with a rotating list of sitters. It is Melody. When you book, you know exactly who is coming, and your children get the same familiar face every time.

She built this around the hours families actually need covered. Weeknight evenings, Saturdays, Sunday afternoons. The shifts, the dinners out and the appointments that a nine-to-five daycare was never going to cover.

Every child feels supported and entertained while parents enjoy peace of mind.
How the time gets spent

My Approach to Childcare

Kids do better when the hours have some shape to them. Here is how Melody runs the time your children are in her care.

Engaging activities, not screens by default

Crafts, games, building, drawing, reading together. The television is not the plan for the evening. Kids stay busy with something they can show you when you get back.

Age-appropriate play

What holds a four year old is not what holds a nine year old. Activities get matched to the child in front of her, so nobody is bored and nobody is in over their head.

A fun space that is still a safe space

Kids get to be loud, silly and messy inside limits that keep them safe. Clear expectations, gentle correction, and an adult paying attention the whole time.

Personalized to each child

Tell Melody what settles your child and what sets them off. Bedtime routines, comfort items, foods they will not touch. She works with what already works at home.

Care options

Care built around the hours you actually need.

Occasional, evening and weekend care for Charlotte families. Book the night you need, not a full-time schedule you do not.

Date night care

Go out and stay out. Evening support so you get a few hours back without spending them worrying about home.

Occasional & evening care

A late shift, an appointment, a class that runs past dinner. Weeknight coverage from 5pm to 9pm when you need it.

Weekend care

Saturdays 9am to 6pm and Sundays 1pm to 9pm. Real weekend hours, including the Sunday stretch most sitters will not cover.

Meals & activities included

Lunch at 12pm, dinner at 4:30pm, and activities in between. Care is not just supervision, it is a decent stretch of a child's day.

Safety & reliability

The part parents actually worry about.

Handing your child to someone new is hard, and it should be. Here is what Melody does so that gets easier every time you book.

  • CPR and First Aid certifiedCurrent certification, not something from years ago.
  • Direct supervision the whole timeChildren are watched, not left to occupy themselves in another room.
  • Reachable while you are outCall or text and you get an answer, not a voicemail box.
  • Shows up when she says she willConfirmed bookings, on time. Your plans do not get cancelled last minute.
  • Your routines, followedAllergies, bedtimes and house rules get written down and kept to.
